Sebastopol, California—Move over, high-speed car chases. The most intense pursuit of the year involves a fugitive… pig. That’s right. A porker named Pickles recently led local law enforcement on a wild, hoof-pounding sprint through town, and the bodycam footage is pure comedy gold.

The Great Pig Heist (Or Just a Really Fast Breakfast Sausage?)

Pickles, the Houdini of hogs, busted loose from home and immediately hit the gas—er, trot. What followed was a scene straight out of a cartoon, as officers and bystanders flailed after the surprisingly nimble swine. Spoiler: Pigs are WAY faster than anyone expected.

In the video, you can see an officer giving it his all—arms pumping, legs churning—only for Pickles to pull a last-second zigzag like he’s auditioning for the NFL. The pig’s evasion skills were so next-level, the cop might as well have been chasing a furry, four-legged Usain Bolt.

“Exceptionally Fast and Strong” – Police, Probably Out of Breath

Authorities later described Pickles as “exceptionally fast and strong,” which is just a polite way of saying, “This pig made us look ridiculous.” At one point, the chase stretched for several blocks, turning the quiet neighborhood into a live-action Babe sequel nobody asked for.

The Happy Ending (Because Pigs Deserve Justice Too)

After what we can only assume was the most exhausting workout of these officers’ careers, Pickles was finally apprehended—off-camera, because of course the pig wouldn’t let them have the final dramatic clip. DailyMail reports the rogue oinker was safely returned to its owner, where it’s probably plotting its next great escape.

Final Thoughts? More Like Final Squeals.

This is the kind of content we NEED in 2024. Forget bank robbers—give us more livestock evading the long arm of the law. If you’ve ever doubted that pigs could outrun cops, let this be your wake-up call.

Now if you’ll excuse us, we’ll be rewatching this video on loop while questioning everything we thought we knew about porcine athleticism. 🐖💨
