BRADENTON, FL—In what can only be described as the most extra breakup move of 2025, a Florida woman allegedly decided that if her boyfriend wasn’t going to stick around, neither would his car.
Natasha Killebrew, 38, is accused of turning her man’s Nissan Altima into a crispy critter after dousing it in cooking oil and setting it ablaze. Because nothing says “we need to talk” like arson with a side of deep-fried regret.
The Plot (and the Car) Thickens
According to Bradenton PD, things got spicy Monday night when witnesses spotted Killebrew lurking near the soon-to-be-flambéed vehicle. At first, she played coy, blaming a rogue cigarette (classic). But then, like a true Florida Woman™, she upgraded her story to full-on I, Tonya levels of drama—claiming she also tried to set herself on fire.
Spoiler: She didn’t.
Investigators noted zero burn marks on Killebrew, meaning either she has the heat resistance of a Targaryen or this was just another case of Florida theatrics.
The Aftermath: Well-Done, Not Rare
By the time firefighters arrived, the car was toast—literally. The flames nearly spread to their apartment, proving once again that Florida breakups don’t just break hearts—they risk breaking lease agreements.
Killebrew now faces arson charges, plus a probation violation, because nothing complements a fiery crime spree like a side of legal consequences.
Moral of the Story
If your relationship hits a rough patch, maybe try not turning your partner’s ride into a bonfire. Or at least stick to passive-aggressive sticky notes like the rest of us.
Bradenton PD has not confirmed whether the boyfriend has since switched to a fireproof vehicle.
