Because nothing says “I swear I’m not holding” like a surprise cavity search.
BUNNELL, FL – What started as a simple traffic stop quickly turned into an episode of Florida’s Worst Hide-and-Seek Champions when deputies pulled over Anthony Pezza and Tiffany Chapman. Spoiler alert: They lost. Badly.
Deputies asked the usual questions—”Any drugs in the car?” “Nope!” “On your person?” “Absolutely not!”—before Chapman decided to drop a bombshell (or, more accurately, a meth-bomb).
“Oh, wait… actually, there might be some in my body cavity,” she allegedly admitted.
Cue the record scratch.
A female deputy was swiftly summoned to assist in what we can only assume was the world’s most awkward game of Find the Hidden Object. And find it she did—10.8 grams of meth, because why carry a purse when you’ve got natural storage?
Chapman was hauled off to jail on charges including trafficking amphetamine and possession with intent to distribute, proving once again that Florida’s criminals are innovative, if not exactly smart. Pezza, her partner in crime and poor life choices, also got a free ride to the slammer.
Moral of the story? If you’re gonna smuggle, maybe don’t announce it mid-traffic stop. Just a thought.
