Because nothing says “Florida” like a full-blown meltdown over dipping sauce.
LARGO, FL—In what can only be described as a spicy situation, a Florida woman turned into a one-woman sauce apocalypse after her Raising Cane’s order came up short—eight sauce packets short, to be exact.
McKenzie Keeling, 31, reportedly placed a mobile order, drove home, and then realized she was missing the most sacred of all Cane’s treasures: the sauce. (We all know the chicken is just a vehicle for the sauce, let’s be real.)
But instead of calmly calling the restaurant and politely asking for her missing condiments like a normal human, Keeling allegedly went full Florida Woman mode. According to police, she stormed back into the restaurant, demanded her sauce (which she got), and then—because apparently eight free sauces weren’t enough—she wanted more for her “wasted time and gas.”
The manager, who clearly had the patience of a saint, declined the extra sauce handout. That’s when things escalated faster than a Florida summer thunderstorm.
Keeling allegedly demanded the manager’s name (probably to Yelp-review her into oblivion), but when the manager refused, Keeling reportedly punched her in the thigh and yanked her employee lanyard like she was trying to win a WWE championship belt.
Surveillance footage caught the whole thing, because of course it did. This is Florida.
Keeling was arrested and charged with strong-arm robbery—because apparently, sauce theft is no joke in the Sunshine State. She bonded out on $2,500, which, coincidentally, could buy approximately 5,000 extra sauce packets.
Moral of the story? If you’re gonna go to war over dipping sauce, maybe just… don’t. Or at least stock up at home like the rest of us.
Stay saucy, Florida. 🍗🔥
