ORLANDO, FL — In a move that’s equal parts divine intervention and “Girl, what are you DOING?”, a Florida woman decided to take airport security into her own hands—by anointing a JetBlue plane with holy oil.

Desiree Salter, a woman of faith and apparently zero FAA regulations, went viral after posting a TikTok of herself blessing a JetBlue flight to Punta Cana with oil from her church. Because nothing says “Please don’t let this plane yeet itself into the ocean” like a quick sign of the cross and some sacred WD-40.

The Holy Handoff

Salter, who keeps blessed oil in her purse “just in case” (Florida Woman Survival Kit: check), rubbed the oil on the plane’s door while praying for safe travels. The video has racked up over 6 million views, with reactions ranging from “Amen, sister!” to “Ma’am, TSA is gonna have QUESTIONS.”

One commenter wrote, “The way I would instantly feel safer on that flight.” Meanwhile, another chimed in with, “There is a thin line between faith and fear.” And that line? JetBlue’s legal department.

JetBlue’s Response (Or Lack Thereof)

When asked for comment, JetBlue was suspiciously silent. Maybe they were busy Googling “Can we charge extra for divine intervention?” or “Is holy oil TSA-approved?”

Why Now?

Salter’s holy plane buffing comes after a string of terrifying aviation incidents, including mid-air collisions, emergency landings, and the general feeling that flying has become a real-life game of “Will We Make It?”

But hey, if rubbing oil on a plane keeps it in the sky, who are we to judge? Next up: Sprinkling holy water on Spirit Airlines flights and whispering “The power of Christ compels you” to the engines.

Final Thought: If your flight gets delayed, just assume it’s because the pilot is back there getting anointed too. Bless up, y’all. ✈️🙏
