Because nothing says “customer service” like returning with a knife and a gun to settle a tip dispute.
KISSIMMEE, FL — In what might be the most Florida way to handle a bad tip, a Marco’s Pizza delivery driver allegedly decided that a $2 gratuity wasn’t just insulting—it was stab-worthy.
According to authorities, 22-year-old Brianna Alvelo delivered a pizza to a couple staying at a motel (because, of course, this happened at a motel). The total was $33, and when the customer handed over a $50 bill, Alvelo reportedly didn’t have change. After some scrambling, the woman gave her a $2 tip—which, let’s be honest, is pretty weak for a pizza delivery, but also not worth attempted murder.
But Alvelo disagreed.
The Great Pizza Revenge Plot
About an hour and a half later, the couple heard aggressive knocking at their door. When they opened it, two masked figures—one armed with a gun, the other (allegedly Alvelo) wielding a pocketknife—stormed in like they were auditioning for Florida’s Most Unhinged Home Invasion.
The gunman forced the boyfriend into the bathroom (classic hostage move), while Alvelo allegedly went full GTA NPC—rummaging through the woman’s purse, smashing her kid’s Nintendo Switch (because why stop at assault when you can commit war crimes against a 5-year-old’s gaming console?), and then, for the grand finale, stabbing the woman 14 times.
The Plot Twist No One Saw Coming
While being treated for her stab wounds, the victim discovered she was pregnant. So not only did Alvelo allegedly attack her over two dollars, but she also unknowingly turned a pizza dispute into a felony against an unborn child.
The Aftermath
Alvelo was arrested and is facing charges including attempted murder, home invasion, and kidnapping. Prosecutors are pushing for no bond, calling it a “punishable by life offense”—which, yeah, stabbing someone over a tip probably qualifies.
Meanwhile, Marco’s Pizza has yet to comment on whether they’ll be updating their employee handbook to include “Do Not Attempt to Murder Customers Over Bad Tips” as official policy.
Moral of the Story?
If you’re going to stiff your delivery driver on a tip, maybe don’t do it in Florida. Because here, the phrase “Keep the change” might just be taken as a challenge.
(No delivery drivers were harmed in the making of this article. But seriously, tip your drivers.)
