Because nothing screams “federal law enforcement” like sleepwear and a backwards hat.

INDIANTOWN, FL—Move over, Florida Man. There’s a new legend in town, and his name is José Juan Lopez, the least convincing ICE agent in history.

According to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, Lopez, 23, allegedly tried to pull over two Hispanic men while dressed in pajama pants and a backwards hat, demanding their IDs and threatening to deport them.

Here’s how it went down:
Lopez: “I’m with ICE! Show me your papers!”
Victims: “Uh… sir, your badge is a napkin, and your uniform is literally sleepwear.”

The victims, clearly not fooled by this highly professional law enforcement cosplay, wisely drove off and called 911. When deputies caught up with Lopez, he tried to flip the script, claiming he was the one being threatened with deportation. Bold strategy.

Bonus Fail:
– Lopez’s criminal history includes resisting arrest, drug possession, child abuse, and domestic battery.
– Impersonating a federal officer carries up to three years in prison. But honestly, the real crime here is the fit.

Moral of the Story: If you’re gonna pretend to be a fed, maybe skip the PJs? Just a thought.

(Martin County Sheriff’s Office confirms: No, ICE agents do not conduct raids in sleepwear. Yet.)
