Brooksville, FL – Move over, NASCAR, because Florida Man is here to show you how real speed demons do it. Brent Syrkin, 30, decided that the Suncoast Parkway’s 70 mph limit was merely a suggestion—and by “suggestion,” we mean “something to completely ignore while pretending you’re in Fast & Furious 12: Hernando County Drift.

According to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, Syrkin was clocked going a cool 132 mph in what we can only assume was a desperate attempt to outrun his own life choices. Deputies tried to pull him over, but Syrkin, clearly committed to the bit, kept going—because nothing says “I respect authority” like blowing past cops at speeds usually reserved for private jets.

Eventually, he pulled into a car dealership, probably hoping they’d mistake him for a test driver. Spoiler: They did not. Instead, he was greeted by the warm embrace of law enforcement, who were very interested in his interpretation of “reckless driving.”

Syrkin now faces charges including:
✔️ Reckless driving (duh)
✔️ Resisting arrest without violence (because why make it easy?)
✔️ Possession of a prescription in violation of law (because nothing complements a high-speed chase like questionable pharmaceuticals)

This is yet another reminder that Florida Man doesn’t need a racetrack—he’ll make one anywhere. Even if it’s just the Suncoast Parkway at 2 p.m. on a Wednesday.
